Court Is Now in Session!
Mr. Martin's 6th grade students took learning into their own hands today by holding a classroom court to explore Hammurabi’s Code!
Students stepped into different roles as they examined crimes, debated consequences, and discovered just how harsh Hammurabi’s punishments could be in ancient Babylon.
Activities like this help bring history to life and give students a chance to think about justice, fairness, laws, and how societies have changed over time.
History is a lot more memorable when you get to experience it!

Tell us what makes our school great! Write a factual paragraph about something positive at our school or about one of our teachers and explain how it has helped students.
Every student who completes the challenge correctly will earn 2 House Points! The ELA team will select the best writing and decide how many bonus House Points it earns!
Be sure to include your name, grade, and house, then turn your writing in to Mr. Newman or your ELA teacher!

Students in grades 5–8 are invited to join a fun, positive after-school club centered on anime, friendship, teamwork, creativity, perseverance, leadership, and responsible decision-making.
Parent consent forms are available in the front office. We will review all content in advance, and parents will receive a full content notice before giving permission for their child to participate.

Students explored how numbers connect to their personal lives by using them to represent meaningful facts about themselves. They shared numbers connected to their ages, birthdays, families, favorite things, pets, and school experiences.
This creative activity helped students see that numbers aren't only in math problems; they are part of the stories we tell about ourselves every day!
