We asked our students to share something positive about their school, and their responses say it all! They highlighted caring teachers, supportive staff, fun activities, teamwork, strong relationships, and the many ways they are encouraged to learn and succeed.

Today, Mrs. Sullivan did an excellent job applying strategies from our faculty meeting while guiding students through their novel study. She began with questions that activated prior knowledge and checked students’ understanding. As the discussion continued, she used connecting, pressing, and extending questions to encourage students to make connections, explain their thinking, and demonstrate a deeper understanding of the text.

The Byhalia Middle School Indians battled to the final whistle and came away with an 8–6 victory over Independence Middle School!

• Chris Brown — Rushing touchdown
• Brandon Coleman — 2-point conversion
A tough defensive battle and another great example of playing together until the very end!
