April 28, 2026: Out of an abundance of caution before the storms that are supposed to move in during dismissal, the Marshall County School District will dismiss at 1:30 today.
State testing is arriving soon:
8th and 5th Grade - ELA on Tues-4/28, Math on Wed- 4/29 and Science on Thurs 4/30.
7th and 6th Grade - ELA on Tues-5/5 and Math on Wed - 5/6

BMS students got a lot of good work done from reading novels to science experiments. Next week students take their Spring benchmark tests. ELA will be on Tuesday, Math on Wednesday and Science on Thursday. We are looking forward to a strong term 3 finish. #MoveMarshall

Greetings, parents.
This message is to inform you that all Byhalia students will transition back into school uniforms on this Thursday, February 19th. Parents, we ask that you reach out to your child’s school if you are having any issues or need any assistance with school uniforms. Thank you.
On Monday, February 9, 2026 the Marshall County School District will have a professional development day for all staff. We will reassess road conditions on Monday, with plans for students to return on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Parents will receive more information regarding school reopening and after school activities. February 16, 2026 and April 6, 2026 will be scheduled makeup days for students and staff.
The Marshall County School District will be closed Thursday (2/5/26) and Friday (2/6/26) due to dangerous road conditions and power outages. We continue to pray for communities and families impacted by this storm.

The Marshall County School District will be closed through Wednesday, February 4, 2026, due to dangerous road conditions and the number of families still being impacted by power outages.
