What makes BMS great?
We asked our students to share something positive about their school, and their responses say it all! They highlighted caring teachers, supportive staff, fun activities, teamwork, strong relationships, and the many ways they are encouraged to learn and succeed.
There is no better way to tell the BMS story than through the voices of our students. We are proud to be a school where students feel supported, challenged, and valued!

Today, Mrs. Sullivan did an excellent job applying strategies from our faculty meeting while guiding students through their novel study. She began with questions that activated prior knowledge and checked students’ understanding. As the discussion continued, she used connecting, pressing, and extending questions to encourage students to make connections, explain their thinking, and demonstrate a deeper understanding of the text.
Great job, Mrs. Sullivan!

Dr. Harris is teaching her students how to participate effectively in a Socratic Seminar and is providing clear guidance on developing strong, meaningful questions.
Great job encouraging students to create questions that move into the Connect and Press parts of our Four-Part Questioning Sequence! Keep building those critical thinkers!
Her students will participate in the Socratic Seminar tomorrow. It will be a great thing to see and experience!

Students in Mrs. Holloway’s class participated in a collaborative review activity focused on the stages and phases of meiosis. Working in groups, students were assigned a specific phase of meiosis and challenged to create a frozen pose (freeze frame) that visually represented the key events of that phase.
After collaborating and preparing their representations, each group presented their freeze frame to the class. Their classmates were then challenged to identify the phase of meiosis being demonstrated.
This engaging, hands-on activity provided students with an opportunity to reinforce their understanding of meiosis in a creative and interactive way. It also promoted collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and student engagement while allowing students to demonstrate their understanding of meiosis.
